Beach Day

  Okay so last week we went to Half Moon Bay. It was pretty nice except for the fact that it was totally windy there, so we left and went to Santa Cruz. 

My dad was in a good mood so he let us go on a couple of rides at the boardwalk.When we only had a couple of tickets left, my dad took the little kids to the merry-go-round while my mom took Anne and I to look at a couple of stores before we  went to the beach. Anne and I didn't get anything but my mom ended up getting a new sweatshirt. 

We left the store and went down to the beach. The first thing we did was find a good place to sit. Then all of us kids played near the ocean and lined up and took a picture, but then we spread out and did what we wanted at the beach. I found half a sand dollar and gave it to my dad. Then I went and played in the water some more and found another whole sand dollar. I was kind of disappointed because the sand dollar had a big hole on the top of it. Then I found a crab leg just sticking out of the sand, so I picked it up and showed it to my parents. I also scared Anne by chasing her around with it for a little bit.  Eventually I got tired of holding it so I threw it back in the ocean where it belonged. It was getting kind of late so we left, and tried to figure out what we wanted to eat. We all agreed on  McDonald's since it was close, so we went there and ate in the parking lot. We finished our food and made our way home. When we got home  Sarah, Laura and Adam were asleep. We had a  really, really, really awesome day!!!! I wish we could go again.
